Malcolm has been the Lead Pastor of New Hope Since January 1992. Malcolm is married to Kathy for 28 years and have four children; Danny(26) and Alison, Jeff(24) and Jessica, Ryan (21) and Lexi (20).

Malcolm has been in ministry for 28 years, serving as Youth Pastors in Sacramento, Youth and College in Modesto, Singles and Missions and outreach in Santa Rosa, coming to Gilroy in January of 1992 serving as Lead Pastor to present.  Also, serving as Sr. Police and Fire Chaplain in Gilroy since 1995.

Malcolm's educationional background is Jr. College and Bible College at Capital Bible Institute in Sacramento, CA.

Some of Malcolm's favorite things to do during his time off and vacation:  Favorite Vacation Spots: Maui, HA, Europe: Italy; San Francisco. Local: Beach spots and mountains. Love doing nothing, having no agenda.  Reading Books and eating until it hurts and taking long walks and hikes. Maybe a little golf.  On normal days off around town?  Hangout with my wife and any kids that are around, do yard work, relax, watch a movie.   

Malcolm's favorite movies are Last Samurai, Remember the Titans, Bourne Identity Series, Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, The Patriot, Braveheart and others that have to do with shooting and destruction and the good guy’s win.

Some of Malcolm's favorite restaurants, Local:  Victorias, Mama Mias, Out of Town:  Carmel: El Fornio, San Francisco: Scalas and Kuletos.  Burlingame: Copenhagen Bakery; lunch and of course all the Pasteries.

Malcolm's favorite sports and teams:  Personal participation: Soccer, and Golf, love to watch: Baseball, and Soccer and Golf. World Champion SF Giants!!!  49ers.  Golfer Phil Mickelson, Tom Lehman.  U.S. Soccer Team, All Gilroy Teams.
